Pizza! Pizza!

There is a small place in the East Village called Motorino that makes great pizza. The crust is thin and crispy on the outside. The sauce is delicious, I wish they used more of it though, and the ingredients are fresh. Pizzas are a good size for one person but I recommend going there with a friend or two and sharing a few different kinds. The ones that I tried that day were Cremini & Sweet Sausage and Soppressata Piccante. I liked Cremini & Sausage a bit more but the Sopressata is just as good. It's a solid pizza place so stop by for a quick lunch.

Light & Refreshing Cocktail Break

If you're out and about in Soho, I think you should give yourself a break from shopping (or celebrate a lucky purchase) by stopping at Lure Fish Bar for a cool and refreshing cocktail. I love their Sake Martini. It's made with fresh cucumber, lime juice and ginger. It's very light and has a slight bitterness from the ginger and lime which is balanced by the mellow hint of cucumber. Lure is open pretty much all day so you can go in anytime. I suggest grabbing a seat at the bar and doing some people watching. Take a little time to enjoy this great cocktail!

Amazing Indulgence at Yerba Buena

If you're out on a lovely Saturday or Sunday afternoon in the West Village and want a scrumptious treat then Pan Dulce at Yerba Buena is it!!!  Hot french brioche toast with manchego cheese and melt-in-your-mouth caramel bananas are covered with dolce de leche and garnished by fresh berries. Absolutely love it! It's so easy to devour it in 30 seconds but I suggest taking your time with this. Get a Mimosa or a Brazilian Bellini while you're there and enjoy!

Spotted Pig Burger Review by Anna's Burger Boy

Tip:  The regular special prosciutto-ricotta tart is a solid warm up, or go chicken liver toast when that's not on the menu.  Or really, just another plate of the fries.

Deliciousness at L'Arte del Gelato

If you're in the West Village and want an incredibly satisfying treat then this place is for you. Actually, if you're in the Village for any reason, this place is absolutely for you. There is no excuse not to try this amazing gelato. I've tried many gelato places in NY but this is definitely my favorite. It's made fresh every day from all natural ingredient! It's incredibly creamy and not overwhelmingly sweet so you can actually taste the flavor and not the sugar.

This time I got my favorite Stracciatell, which has a nice milky flavor with crunchy chocolate pieces, and Amarena Variegato made with sour cherries. Pure deliciousness! In addition to the creamy gelatos there is also have dairy-free Sorbetti. My favorite flavors that I've tried before are Cioccolato (Chocolate), Menta Cioccolato (Mint with Chocolate Pieces), and Frutti di Bosco (Mixed Berries).

Overall, I think this is a perfect treat, a guilty pleasure, and an amazing dessert and I say you don't need to feel guilty about getting it because it's natural ingredients and freshly made. That's my claim and I'm sticking to it!

There are two locations in the city. Stop by!
