How do you find out about Perla? There is just the address and a phone number or their website, they're not on opentable.com and they're not in many publications, yet. An amazing new place has definitely kept a low profile but that's not holding it back.
It's incredible how easy it is to love this restaurant.
First off, the service is outstanding. There is definitely a great effort from waiters and managers to make you feel special and taken care of. From the moment you walk in you're greeted by the nicest hostess with an actually genuine smile that let's you know that Perla is happy you're there.
If you have to wait to be seated, usually no more then 15 or 20 minutes, a good-looking bartender will take good care of you with a delicious cocktail and in no time you are lead to one of the tables with a romantic candle glow.

As a special of the night the server recommended a meatball in a bit of red sauce, covered by melted cheese. The delicate, slightly salty pork meat and cheese, can't go wrong. Great appetizer!
One of the things that's always recommended, and rightly so, is the gnocchi. We were sold when it was described as "home-made, simple and delicious". This has to be good. And it was! Really was! Amazing soft gnocchi in a spicy tomato and ricotta sauce were incredible, no other way to describe it.
If you're a foie gras fan you'll be happy to know that it was superb, the best I've had in a while. Delicately tender with a smooth and silky texture, served with cipollini mostarda sauce. A truly delectable dish.
Now you might say, "oh, it's like chicken, how bland and unexciting". I would leave this way of thinking at the door and try it at Perla. Description is simple but it was anything but that. The meat was tender and juicy accompanied by mushrooms, brussel sprouts and a delicious sauce. They definitely do it well here.
Our plates were totally clean after every dish. Bread basket contains everything you'll need to soak up the sauces. Starting with the prawn ending with the chicken nothing was wasted here.
I was at Perla (going back again in two days) and you should be there too!
