Dinner at Swine

Interesting name for a restaurant. Sounds strange to say "go to Swine". This place is awesome though. Really fun bar, great cocktails and beers, delicious food, fun atmosphere and easy-going people, it has it all. I've been several times already and will keep coming back. Recommend to sit upstairs in the bar area as opposed to the dining room downstairs. Bar is much more livelier with great people watching.

Two boards from two different outings. Left has soppressata, chicken liver mousse, foe gras torchon, grafton cheddar cheese with bacon marmalade, and black river blue cheese with cherry chutney. Right is cheddar cheese, again, country pate, and rabbit & mushroom terrine with cranberry chutney. All these things are fresh and good. Chicken liver mousse was surprisingly on the richer side. The bacon marmalade is delicious, easily can be eaten by itself.

Pan roasted TROUT was perfect, made with leeks, califlower, and mushrooms. So full of flavor and texture. I'm convinced a healthy dish. Yummy.

The famous BONE MARROW & BRISKET BURGER. Very rich, definitely filles you up. Meat was very nicely done and the toppings were unusual but tasted very good. Only thing is that I feel the cheese needed to be a bit sharper but apparently they varry it so next time it might be perfect.

SHORT RIB from the second time I came to dinner. Even though the meat was nice and soft it felt a little dry, I think because there was no sauce. Crispy onions and potato pure were great additions.
