Appetizers and dessert at Aquagrill outdoor terrace. Actually, it's one of my favorite restaurants for classic and fresh seafood dishes. There are also great refreshing summer time cocktails, not to miss.
Lobster Salad was pretty amazing, pure to the ingredients. Very generous with their lobster, made me really happy. Great lobster is served on a bed of greens with light citruce dressing and sides of avocado and grapefruit. Delicious and light. Such a treat.
Love Aquagrill Tuna Tartar. Just like the lobster salad, this dish is light and flavorful at the same time. I love that you can taste and appreciate the simplicity of fresh tuna. Nothing fancy needed, just some crispy cucumber slices and horseradish on top. Just perfect.
To confess, big reasons why I love Aquagrill is the dessert. It's never disappointing, especially the Chocolate Tasting. Obviously there is a warm chocolate cake with melted chocolate on the inside. Chocolate ice cream is always a win. Save room for this treat.
Also yummy is Blueberry Pie. Lots of solid blueberries, no berry jam filling here. Crumbles on top soaked up vanilla ice cream as it melted on top of the hot pie. Delightful.

Since it's in the middle of the Meatpacking District, Catch is filled with trendy, stylish people with great shoes and expensive bags. There are really fun drinks so the bar area is a great place to meet up before going out on the town, even if you're not having food. As it comes to dinner it's great seafood and inventive rolls.
Toro Tartare with wasabi soy is great and inventive. I like that it's not just tuna, there are other flavors and textures going on here. It's highly recommended.
Yummy Catch Roll. Just crab, salmon, and miso-honey with pepper on top. Simple and delicious.
Crab was nice and required no effort to get the meat. It's just there for ya, eat and enjoy. Simple and nice.
I like scallops and thought scallop dumplings would be great thing to try. Dumplings done well. That's good stuff.
Of course fish tacos are a must. It's hard to mess up fish tacos and yet to make them creative so I try them every place I go. The shell on these Mahi Mahi Wonton Tacos was crispy and wavy which I though added a nice texture. There has to be a bit of guacamole and lime. Solid fish tacos.
Chocolate cake and ice cream. A classic, as it should be. Nothing extraordinary but still very delicious chocolate cake with melted chocolate on the inside.
Great food, drinks, and reflection of Meatpacking District style.
There's always space available at Oceana. Suppose to be great sea food but I came to find out that it was actually sadly somewhat disappointing. Really expected so much more from such a famous restaurant in the middle of the city.
Oysters, nice and fresh, pretty standard. Lobster good as well. Not enough of it thoug.
Peekytoe Crab Cake. Crab itself was nice but sadly it was extremly fried. Thick crunchy shell was uncessessary. As a result, there was very little of whatever was left of the actual crab. Kind of unsatisfying.
Oh boy, where to stard with this one. Tuna tartar. First off, I've never had tuna tartar with so much oil. Pieces were so oily that you couldn't even taste the tuna so I had no idea if it was actually fresh. What's more, there was some sort of crunchy bread crumbs concoction on top of it. Why it was there I have no ideal. It's like they were trying to cover up this tuna with something that would distract from the taste. To make things even sadder, the entire thing was on a bed of potatoes. Seriously, potatoes? Just as oily as the tuna. Overall, this was pretty bad. I expected so much more from a well known seafood place. Whatever you do, don't get this.
Last dish of the mediocer dinner was mushroom risotto with duck confit. Actually, this was probably the best dish yet. Pretty flavorful. Strange that a dish that has nothing to do with seafood was the best tasting.
